Review of the Panasonic Lumix LS60

Panasonic Lumix LS60

Panasonic Lumix LS60
www.panasonic.co.uk Panasonic’s Lumix range is building a good reputation and the LS60 adds to this tradition. A 6MP sensor and 3x optical zoom are fairly standard for an entry-level compact, but the wide ISO range of 100-1250 and image stabilization set this camera apart from the crowd. It has a slightly chunky plastic body but the design and layout of the buttons is good and it feels relatively solid. A useful feature is the exposure compensation, which allows easy correction for difficult lighting situations. The easy zoom option is a bonus too, allowing you to jump from one end of the zoom to the other with a single button push. On the downside, the 2in LCD screen is fairly small and there is no viewfinder. There is also no manual mode, but the intelligent ISO mode helps produce accurate and consistent exposures. Image quality is good although accuracy improves when using the scene modes and the intelligent ISO setting. What Digital Camera Score 85%
