Review of the Fuji FinePix A610

Fuji FinePix A610

Fujifilm FinePix A610
www.fujifilm.co.uk The A610 has a lot of technology behind it, but how do the results match up? A 6MP sensor and 3x optical zoom are fairly standard for this entry-level class of compacts and its limited ISO range of 100-400 results in the flash beng used more often in low-light conditions. That said, the flash settings offer a slow-sync mode, which will improve the balance between the available light and the flash in night time photography. There are 14 scene modes including a manual option, which affords you some control. Dual card slots allow you to use an xD or SD memory card, should you have a preference. The results do show noticeably high noise levels and on high-contrast subjects there is purple fringing, which reduces the overall image quality. What Digital Camera Score 78%
