What does the future hold at Photokina 2012?
Pentax
While we're big fans of the K-5, quite a few Pentax owners have been crying out for a full-frame model, especially those with a collection of Pentax's lovely special-edition prime lenses.
Will we see such a DSLR at Photokina? Maybe. Rumours keep cropping up that we'll see a full-frame DSLR from Pentax, but it's hard to say if we'll see anything announced in Cologne in September.
Some of the rumours circulating include the fact that it'll be using the same 24MP full-frame chip that we're likely to see in both the rumoured Sony A99 and Nikon D600, while the body will be relatively compact - think K-5.

And what about Pentax's Compact System Cameras? It's been over a year since we saw the arrival of the Pentax Q - will other cameras be added to the range?
Finally, there's the medium format 645D, with rumours suggesting that Pentax is working on a second-generation model. This has been triggered by the fact that the sensor currently used by the 645D was originally manufactured by Kodak, who has since sold its Image Sensor Solutions business to Platinum Equity and there are reports that the sensor is no longer in production.
