The 28mm-140mm (5x optical zoom lens) sees a greater optical ‘reach' to set the PowerShot G12 apart from many competitors.

With some impressive features, such as a larger-than-average sensor at 1/6.3in and an f/1.8 4x optical zoom Zuiko lens. The 3inch LCD screen and full manual controls are obviously huge benefits as well, but the main intention of this advanced compact camera is clearly to achieve as high quality images as possible, which it achieves with aplomb.
